As a Colombian professional dancer, my recent stay at the Finca Carpe Diem Ecolodge was a refreshing escape into nature near Minca. Our family, seeking a family-friendly retreat, enjoyed the spacious dorm rooms and the serene ambiance of the two swimming pools nestled amidst lush jungle views. The inclusive atmosphere was ideal for our kids, with activities like hiking to a nearby waterfall led by the knowledgeable local guide, Jorgi. We also relished the farm-to-table meals which showcased the fresh flavors of Colombia. The staff's warmth made us feel at home, fostering a sense of community, something I value deeply in my cultural promotion work. Options like Spanish classes and engaging in coffee growing added an educational aspect to our stay, making it both relaxing and enriching. Our adventure truly began as we journeyed by bike to the lodge, setting the tone for a memorable experience filled with natural wonders and cultural exchange, echoing the vibrant spirit of Colombia. The setting, hidden in the jungle, provided the perfect backdrop for unwinding to the sounds of nature, a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host, a friendly Belgian gentleman, added to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring our needs were met with care and attention.
